after getting used to the 'Stoutonian Way of Life' me and some friends decided to take a break and visit Las Vegas. Since it was a long weekend we took a cheap flight (spirit airline, 117$ roundtrip) and booked a cheap hotel 'off-strip'.

We arrived tuesday around midnight (delay of 1.5hrs!!) at the hotel. Wednesday we took the first shuttle towards the Strip, which is the main road in Vegas. Everything important happens on the strip. The most famous hotels, casinos and clubs are located here. And the nightlife is just amazing (see pictures):

So how is it? It mainly is a 6 lane road with lots of traffic, and on both sides you see hotel besides hotel besides hotel. Walking down the strip is clearly an attraction because of all the lights at night and all the entertainers, promoters and visitors. In Vegas it is also allowed to drink alcohol on the streets. Main action takes place inside the hotels though. Every hotel is like it's own universe. You can really pass lots of time inside them. From very luxury to cheap everything is possible.

What are the casinos like? In casinos everything is about gambling... Machines, sport betting or card games, there is everything. Dealers and waiters appreciate tips and actually expect them. You can find gamblers in the casinos at every time of the day.
No worries, I didn't loose a fortune, I just had to try once im there :)
On Saturday me and my friends went to an exclusive nightclub, which was worth it. Very famous DJ (Steve Angello) as well as a very nice location awaited us.
Another interesting Vegas-thing is Limousines. Doesn't matter where you want to go there always is a Limousine ready. And if you talk to the right promoter you get a free ride!

Me and my friends also took the opportunity of taking a trip to Los Angeles by bus. In LA we have seen the city center, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive and we ended the day with a cold beer at Santa Monica beach.

We finally came back October 29th. Where Wisconsin weather was waiting for us (~45°F). Still it is nice to be back :)
